12/25/2023 0 Comments Shopify draft order![]() ![]() From my experience, when a draft order is initiated, a Checkout Started event will trigger for the associated contact, but a corresponding Placed Order event would not occur. It's very frustrating.Draft Orders or Invoice Orders are not data that are synced to Klaviyo from Shopify as part of the default integration. They say Your order is confirmed (indefinitely). My customers are misled when they look at the Order Status page because the physical items never show delivered. 99% of my orders need to be custom items with custom pricing and local delivery or local pick up. I have submitted a request to Shopify Experts and no one has come back saying they can enable these features. I have contacted support twice to try and get them to enable the local delivery and local pick up options in Shopify Admin to no avail. This is something I need to do because everything I do is custom and has custom descriptions and pricing. Choosing local delivery does not allow me to edit the order in Shopify Admin. That stays as my address for Order Admin. I still have to choose a shipping address and manually enter the customer's email and phone number. Changing the customer only changes the basic customer name. Then change the customer in Shopify Admin. They told me to create a customer account called Order Admin and use that account to create an order. The workaround provided by the help team is more time consuming and not perfect. I also need an option for local delivery and local pick up in Shopify Admin. Please let me know if you have any questions or if it's still not working after going through these steps. Double check that you've disabled any pickup apps that were active on your store. ![]() Once you've done this, check the box again and click Save again. Then uncheck the box that says This location offers pickup and save the changes. To do this go to Settings > Shipping and delivery and click your location name under the Local Pickup area.
